With the lifecycle in Vault Professional, it is possible to automatically generate metadata and export documents and deliver them to an ERP package. At the end of the lifecycle, the item is set to Released status. The engineer can no longer modify the files, and the Job Processor automatically creates items and bills of materials in the ERP system. Export files such as PDF, DXF, and STEP are also generated.
This ensures the transfer moment from engineering to the factory without any manual intervention needed from the engineer or planner. With an ERP connection, there is no longer a need to retype data. The factory never has to call the engineer again to "just send that STEP file" that was forgotten. Hundreds of items can be created flawlessly in seconds. Working Method

We have developed our own software for the ERP connection. Every ERP package can be linked with our solution.
Our software includes an extensive dashboard where the following, among other things, can be configured:
  • Mapping of BOM fields between Inventor/Vault and the ERP system
  • Triggers for data export (for example, at Released status)
  • Configuration of material conversion and item coding
  • Management of users and permissions
  • Logging and monitoring of data flows
We have all the expertise in-house for CAD and PDM setup and work with several CAD managers. In addition, we collaborate with experienced ERP consultants, ensuring that the ERP side setup is professionally carried out as well.
